SOME COMMENTS FROM MY CLIENTS

"Caroline's professionalism, sensitivity, discretion, reassurance and personal calm made my birth experience as easy and comfortable as possible. She put me first and made me feel cared for, listened to, understood and generally at ease.

Well before my due date, Caroline spent time understanding what I wanted and needed, guiding me when she felt I needed more information and respecting to the letter that which had been agreed. Her breastfeeding support at the first feed was priceless and stood us in good stead for future feeds.

I solemnly believe that my child growing to 18lbs (by the age of 6 months) solely on breastfeeding was due to Caroline"s understanding of the feeding from the psychological and physiological standpoints. I can wholeheartedly recommend Caroline both as a Birthing partner and for breastfeeding support."

"Initially Rob and I both found your advice in late pregnancy and reassurance about the big day invaluable - it was a turning point for me to have someone who had time to listen, explain and reassure me, and it gave me a lot more confidence in myself as the birth approached. Rob added up that we saw 5 midwives throughout the labour phase (because of breaks and shift changes etc) and found that quite unsettling – this problem was immediately solved as you were there offering us both support and assistance.

During labour you had a few little tricks up your sleeve to reassure me and help me focus through the contractions and Rob told me it helped him to stay calm and focused throughout the labour (visions of him reclining on the beanbag doing the crossword!!!) and more able to understand what he needed to do to help me – with the aid of your suggestions.

My first memory after Oliver popped out is of you attaching him to me within 5 minutes and him feeding away as if he had been doing it for years! Thankfully we really haven't looked back as you were always available on the end of the phone or for a home visit to offer advice through the first few weeks.

Rob is already plotting for baby no 2 so my only hope is that you will continue to offer your services for long enough as I honestly would not like to go through the experience again without your calm and encouragement and educated experience helping me through."

"Caroline was there for the first feed after my elective c- section, it made all the difference. My little boy was not able to take to the breast easily and she helped me through initially until he was able to take the breast again. Although I did not find it easy to start, the continuity and her gentleness helped me through the difficult days and after 7 days we had cracked it. Now he feeds really well and we even get some sleep!! Caroline was able to visit regularly through the initial feeding while I was in hospital for 6 days and then at home. She is worth every penny and she has a heart of gold."

"A huge thank-you for all your help and encouragement to breast feed.
I don"t know what I would have done without your calm, wisdom and first class advice. I will definitely recommend your services to any pregnant friends."

"I'm so glad I found Caroline when I really needed her! She helped me enormously with breastfeeding and was flexible about visiting me at home (evenings and weekends) and was always available on the phone which I found reassuring. Her kindness and understanding and wealth of experience gave me the encouragement I needed to keep going with breastfeeding – and now I really enjoy it."

"Thank-you so much for all your help and support over the past few weeks. Brooke is feeding well now and I am doing all the breastfeeding myself!

We are very grateful for all you have done and the labour would have been more painful without you - see you for no2!"

"We would like to express our immense appreciation for your wonderful work with us during the labour and delivery of our baby boy. We are very proud that I managed as hoped to give birth vaginally avoiding a c.section. A 6hr drug free labour was more than we could have hoped for and it was entirely down to your incredible coaching and inspiration."

"Thank you for making the birth a so much better experience. I knew you were in control from the moment you arrived - and that was a good thing as I was not! It is great not to feel traumatised....."

"Caroline partnered us through the birth of our second daughter, Annie and was a key part of our strategy for avoiding a second emergency caesarian section. On first meeting it was obvious Caroline was the right person, combining great warmth with a wealth of knowledge and experience; she understood our hopes and concerns and was supportive towards us both.

In a longish intense labour she was reassuring and unflappable, knowing when to suggest a change of position and helping to re-focus our efforts at times of crisis. Annie was born with a little help from ventouse and Caroline has since helped us with breastfeeding. She has made it possible for us to achieve what we hoped for."
